Mr. Marc I. Stern serves as Head of Societe Generale Global Investment Management and Services America and Chief Executive Officer of TCW, Member of the Group of Societe Generale. Prior to his appointment as Chairman of GIMS North America in September 2005, Mr. Stern served for almost fifteen years as the President and a Director of TCW. Mr. Stern currently serves as Presiding Director of Qualcomm, Inc. (NASDAQ), a Director of Rockefeller & Co., Inc. and is a Member of the Advisory Board and an Owner of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Los Angeles Opera. Mr. Stern also serves on the Boards of the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, the California Science Center, the Aspen Music Festival and School, the California Institute of Technology and Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Mr. Stern received a B.A. degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1965, and a M.A. degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Public Law and Government in 1966. He graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University School of Law in 1969.
