Mr. Loic Lietar has served as Executive Vice President - New Ventures of STMicroelectronics NV since January 1, 2011. Prior to that position, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Strategic Officer and Member of the Executive Board from January 2008 to January 2011. During this time, he was responsible for the Company's Strategic Planning, Corporate Business Development and Corporate Communication since February 2010. He joined Thomson Semiconducteurs, a predecessor company to STMicroelectronics, in 1985. He was appointed Director of the Company’s Advanced Systems Technology labs in the United States in 1999. Subsequently, he became General Manager of the Cellular Terminals Division and later the Application Processor Division. Appointed Group Vice President, Strategies in 2006, he contributed to deconsolidating the Flash memory business, establishing the R&D partnership with IBM, and creating ST-Ericsson. In 2008, Mr. Lietar was promoted to Corporate Vice President, Corporate Business Development, and two years later he became the Company’s Chief Strategy Officer. In April 2010, Mr. Liétar was elected President of the Minalogic micro-nanotechnology and embedded software cluster in Grenoble, France. He graduated with a degree in Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, in 1984, a degree in Microelectronics from Universite Paris-Sud 11(Orsay University in Paris, 1985), and he holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Columbia University, New York (1993).
