Dr. Joseph D. Keegan, Ph.D., is Independent Director of Stereotaxis Inc. He served as the president, chief executive officer and a director of ForteBio, Inc., a venture capital funded life sciences company, from 2007 until February, 2012. He currently serves as a director of Seahorse Bioscience, Inc., Response Biomedical Corp., as chairman of the board of Labcyte Corporation, and as a director and chairman of the board of the Analytical and Life Science Systems Association. From 1998 to 2007, Dr. Keegan was president, chief executive officer and a director of Molecular Devices Corporation. From 1992 to 1998, he held several senior management positions with Becton Dickinson and Company, including president of Worldwide Tissue Culture, and vice president and general manager of Worldwide Flow Cytometry. Prior to that, he held a number of positions with Leica, Inc., General Electric Company and Hewlett Packard Company. He previously served as a director of Alpha Innotech Corp., BioImagene Corporation, Essen Instruments and Upstate Biotechnology. He also serves on the board of directors of the San Francisco Opera. Dr. Keegan earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Stanford University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Boston University.
