Mr. R. Chellappan is Managing Director, Executive Director of Swelect Energy Systems Ltd. He is a distinguished Engineer in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a rank holder from Madras University. He commenced his career at Sri Ramakrishna Steel Industries Ltd. Coimbatore, for 8 years and subsequently at Ashok Leyland Ltd for 5 years in senior technical positions in the area of Plant Maintenance, Electrical projects, Special Purpose Machines, Computer and Communication Systems. Mr. Chellappan established NUMERIC in the year 1984 for manufacturing Electronic systems based on Digital Electronics and this marked the advent of NUMERIC UPS & bloomed into a Public Ltd Company in 1994, which now holds the record of being the Country’s No.1 On-line UPS Manufacturer for the past unbroken 13 years.
