Mr. Barry Portnoy has served as one of Managing Directors of TravelCenters of America LLC since October 2006. Mr. Portnoy has been a trustee of Hospitality Trust, HRPT Properties Trust, or HRPT Properties, and Senior Housing Properties Trust, or Senior Housing, since 1995, 1986 and 1999, respectively, and a director of Five Star since 2001. Mr. Portnoy is the Chairman and majority owner of Reit Management and of RMR Advisors. Mr. Portnoy has been the Chairman of Reit Management since 1986, and a director and Vice President of RMR Advisors since 2002. Mr. Portnoy has been a trustee of RMR Real Estate Fund, RMR Hospitality and Real Estate Fund, RMR F.I.R.E. Fund, RMR Preferred Dividend Fund, RMR Asia Pacific Real Estate Fund, RMR Asia Real Estate Fund, RMR Dividend Capture Fund and RMR Funds Series Trust (which ceased to exist in 2009), or collectively, the RMR Funds, and a portfolio manager of each of the RMR Funds, except for RMR Asia Pacific Real Estate Fund and RMR Asia Real Estate Fund, since their respective formations beginning in 2002.
