People: Taiwan Greater China Fund (TFC)

Mr. Robert P. Parker serves as Trustee of Taiwan Greater China Fund since 1998. He also served as Chairman of the Fund's Board of Trustees from February to July of 2004, overseeing the Fund’s transition to self-management. Mr. Parker is a founder and Chairman of Parker Price Venture Capital, Inc. (formerly Allegro Capital, Inc.). Before starting his venture capital company in 1997, he enjoyed a distinguished career as an international business lawyer, founding and managing two of the international law firms in Taiwan. Mr. Parker is a member of the Executive Committee of the US-Taiwan Business Council in Washington, D.C. and is a former President of Taipei’s American Chamber of Commerce. He is well known for his role in the formulation and implementation of the Taiwan Relations Act, the U.S. federal legislation governing relations with Taiwan. He has served on the boards of directors of numerous educational and business organizations in the U.S. and Taiwan, including the board of Taiwan’s largest private university.
