Neil F. Dimick is Chairman of the Board of Thoratec Corporation. Mr. Dimick became a director of the Company in October 2003. In May 2007, Mr. Dimick became Chairman of the Board. Mr. Dimick was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AmerisourceBergen Corporation, a pharmaceutical distributor, from August 2001 to May 2002, and served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and a director of Bergen Brunswig Corporation and was a member of that board’s finance, investment and retirement committees for more than five years prior to its merger with AmeriSource Health in 2001. Mr. Dimick also spent eighteen years with the audit firm Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he was an audit partner and national director of the firm’s real estate division. Mr. Dimick also serves as a member of the board of directors of Alliance Imaging, Inc., HLTH Corporation, Mylan Laboratories, Inc., Resources Global Professionals and WebMD Corporation.
