Mr. Hong Jiacong, or Stan Hung, has been Chairman of the Board in United Microelectronics Corp. since July 17, 2008. He is also Chief Strategic Officer of the Company. Mr. Hong used to be Chief Financial Officer of the Company. He is also Chairman of the Board in five comapnies including Crystalwise Technology Inc. and NexPower Technology Corp., and Director in EPISTAR Corporation. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Tamkang University, Taiwan.
