Mr. Frederic V. Salerno is Independent Director of Viacom Inc., since January 1, 2006, having previously served as a director of Former Viacom since 1994. Mr. Salerno is a retired Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Verizon Communications Inc., a position he held from June 2000 to October 2002. Prior to that, Mr. Salerno served as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Bell Atlantic (Verizon’s predecessor) beginning in August 1997. Prior to the merger of Bell Atlantic and NYNEX Corporation, Mr. Salerno served as Vice Chairman, Finance and Business Development, of NYNEX from 1994 to 1997. Mr. Salerno was Vice Chairman of the Board of NYNEX and President of the NYNEX Worldwide Services Group from 1991 to 1994. Mr. Salerno has served as a director of Akamai Technologies, Inc. since 2002, IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. since 2002, CBS Corporation since 2007 and National Fuel Gas Company since 2008. Mr. Salerno also served as a director of The Bear Stearns Companies Inc. from 1992 to 2008, Consolidated Edison Inc. from 2002 to 2007 and Popular Inc. from 2003 to 2011.
