Bjerg, Carsten 

Mr. Carsten Bjerg has served as Independent Member of the Board of Directors at Vestas Wind Systems A/S since March 28, 2011. He served as Managing Director of Grundfos Holding A/S and Group President of the Grundfos Group from 2007 until 2013. He is Member of the Company’s Technology and Manufacturing Committee and Member of the Audit Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the Engineering Academy of Denmark (now Danmarks Tekniske Universitet) from 1983, and did the ACPMM (Advanced Course in Production Methods and Management) at the University of Cambridge from 1984 to 1985. He was previously Engineer and Trainee at Danfoss A/S from 1983 until 1984, Project Manager at Danfoss A/S from 1985 to 1989, Plant Manager at Danfoss A/S from 1989 to 1994, Product Line Director at Danfoss A/S from 1994 to 1997, Senior Vice President of International Production at Grundfos Management A/S from 1997 to 2000, Executive Vice President of Production and Logistics at Grundfos Management A/S from 2000 to 2003, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Grundfos Management A/S from 2003 until 2006 and Acting Chief Executive Officer at Grundfos Management A/S from 2006 to 2007. He is Chairman of the Board of PCH Engineering A/S (DK) and PCH Investment A/S (DK), Deputy Chairman of the Boards of Hoejgaars Holding A/S and Rockwool International A/S (Denmark), as well as Member of the Board of K. Nissen International A/S (DK), MT Hoejgaard A/S (DK), and Nissens A/S (DK). He is also Chairman of The Market Development Fund. He has knowledge of managing an international group including knowledge of Research & Development, manufacturing and strategic management.
