Dr. John W. Starr, M.D., serves as an Independent Director of Valley Financial Corp., since March 1994. He has been a resident of Roanoke since 1977, is on staff at Carilion Clinic Cardiology. He previously has been a member and Treasurer of Consultants in Cardiology, P.C., Chief of the Medical Specialties Department at Roanoke Memorial, Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia.
