Mr. Rafael Matute Labrador serves as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors of Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV. He has been on the Company's Board since 1998. He joined the Company in 1987 and in 1998 he was promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer. He has acted as Member of the Advisory Board for Nacional Financiera, Banorte and Banco Nacional de Mexico (Banamex/Citibank) as well as Member of the Board of Directors of Desarrolladora Homex. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa (IESE). He studied Top Management at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and at the Chicago University Graduate School of Business.
