Douglas E. Swanson has served as a Class III director of Boots & Coots International Well Control, Inc since March 2006. Mr. Swanson serves as a Class III Director for a term that will expire on the date of the annual meeting of stockholders in 2009. Mr. Swanson was elected Chairman of the board by the board of directors on November 6, 2006. Mr. Swanson was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Oil States International, Inc. in January 2000. He resigned his position as President of Oil States in May 2006, and he resigned his position as Chief Executive Officer of Oil States in April 2007. Prior to joining Oil States, Mr. Swanson served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cliffs Drilling Company, a contract drilling company, from January 1992 to August 1999. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell College and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Swanson is a director for Flint Energy Services, LTD (Toronto: FES.TO) a Canadian integrated midstream oil and gas production services provider.
