Shares in Davis Service Group rise 3.7 percent, after reaching a 12-month high earlier in the session, as the laundry and workwear company says it views the year in a more favourable light, prompting Cazenove to upgrade to "outperform" from "in-line".
UPDATE 1-Davis Service more positive on year outcome
LONDON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - British laundry and workwear group Davis Service said on Friday it viewed the full-year outlook in a more positive light after profit for the nine months to end-Sept was maintained at last year's level. In an update the firm said trading had continued broadly in line with the trends seen in the first-half, with revenue "modestly ahead" of the nine months to Sept. 30 2008.

August saw a sharp rise in the number of London homes sold for more than 1 million pounds. Figures from upmarket property consultancy Knight Frank show a 234 per cent rise in sales of such homes compared with the same month last year. August sales were also up 90 per cent on January 2008, near the peak of the prime London market. Rival property firm Savills also reported soaring sales in the second quarter, largely due to a recovery in the London and south-east market.
