TOKYO, Dec 22 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average rose 1.9 percent to a three-month closing high on Tuesday as a weaker yen lifted exporters, while Isuzu Motors jumped after a report that the automaker seeks to develop next-generation diesel engines for General Motors [GM.UL].
