Magellan readies Australian lead mine for restart
SYDNEY, Sept 30 (Reuters) - The Magellan lead mine in Australia is rehiring staff and performing ground work to resume operations early in 2010, a mine official said on Wednesday, citing improving prices and environmental clearance to ship ore from an Australian port.

SYDNEY, Aug 13 (Reuters - Australia's Magellan mine will start exporting 21,000 tonnes of stockpiled lead concentrate in the third quarter of this year after receiving final environmental clearance from Fremantle port, the firm's Canadian parent, Ivernia Inc , said on Thursday.
