Israel's Magal Security sells video monitoring unit for $8.5 mln

Dec 24 (Reuters) - Israel's Magal Security Systems Ltd said it sold its U.S.-based video monitoring business operated by Smart Interactive Systems Inc to iVerify US Inc for $8.5 million. Magal expects to record a gain of about $2 million on the sale, which would be reflected in its 2007 results, the maker of computerized security systems said in a statement.
