SurModics inks licensing deal with Genetech, shares jump
(Reuters) - Drug delivery technology company SurModics Inc said it inked a licensing deal with Genentech, a unit of Roche , to develop a sustained formulation of the biotech's optical drug Lucentis, sending its shares up 25 percent.

Sept 24 (Reuters) - Church & Dwight Co Inc on Thursday said Abbott Laboratories Inc will pay the company $27 million to settle patent litigation related to pregnancy diagnostic test kits, according to a regulatory filing. Abbott Laboratories, SurModics Inc and Church & Dwight, reached a settlement agreement on Sept. 17, the household and personal-care products maker said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
