UPDATE 1-Wabash suspends quarterly cash dividend

Dec 15 (Reuters) - Semi-trailer maker Wabash National Corp said it suspended its quarterly cash dividend to cut costs and strengthen liquidity amid weak economic conditions. The company, which plans to cut jobs and begin an extended holiday shutdown at its Lafayette facility from Dec. 22 through Jan. 5 of next year, expects to save about $5.5 million annually as a result of the dividend suspension.
