The Sport
Taekwondo is a traditional Korean martial art, which means "the way of kicking and striking", but the trademark of the sport is its combination of kick movements.
Technique
Taekwondo is famed for its use of kicking techniques that sets it apart from other martial arts. The leg being the longest part of the body is used for its range and potential to execute powerful kicks in combat.
