Wall St. ends strong week quietly

May 16 - Wall Street ended little changed on Friday and held on to its best weekly gain in about a month.

The Dow shed 5 points to 12,986. The S&P 500 gained more than a point to 1,425. The Nasdaq lost 4 points to 2,528. Crude oil surged $2.17 to a record settlement price of $126.29 a barrel.
