Oil prices drop
July 24 - A drop in oil prices helped boost Asia stocks on Thursday.
Exporters such as Toyota were also helped by a rise in the U.S. dollar.
Some firms in Japan had to halt temporarily halt production to check for damage after an earthquake rattled northern Japan.
