Jul. 30 - Artisans use ancient techniques to turn wood into batik handicrafts.
A growing demand from the United States and other countries is fuelling production in Batik handicrafts.
Wax and dyes are applied to wooden surfaces and cloths and then sealed. Locally sourced wood is carved into delicate masks and statues which are sanded down to a perfect smooth finish.
The Krebet village has been teaching the handicraft for more than 10 years and are keen to keep the art form alive.
