Hong Kong polls open
Sept. 7 - Hong Kong's Chief Executive Donald Tsang and government officials cast ballots in an election for a new legislature.
Voters in the Chinese-administered territory voted to elect a news legislature on Sunday. Hong Kong's pro-democracy camp faces a stern test in city-wide legislative elections, with rival pro-Beijing candidates poised to further erode the camp's waning influence over the city's political future.
