Video claims to show U.S. Syria raid
Oct 28 - Video has appeared on the Internet purporting to show U.S. helicopters involved in a attack inside Syria that sparked an outraged response from Damascus.
Syria said the raid on Sunday (October 26, 2008) on Syria's border with Iraq killed eight civilians.
While the U.S. initially refused to confirm or deny its involvement in the incident a U.S. official subsequently said a major smuggler of foreign fighters into Iraq was killed in the operation. This video segment shows amateur video of what's claimed to be a damaged farm in the aftermath of the raid, and also mobile phone footage of helicopters.
The helicopter video was released by the website Syria News.com which said it was U.S. helicopters involved in the assault.
