Elephant pregnant from frozen sperm
Nov 20 - An elephant in northern Thailand is pregnant from artificial insemination.
In an attempt to conserve the dwindling population of elephants in Thailand, vets at a conservation centre in Chiang Mai have successfully impregnated an elephant with frozen sperm cells.
The breakthrough is expected to lead to a population boom.
