Stocks gain; retail hopes rise
Nov. 28 - Wall Street finished a week where the Nasdaq climbed nearly 11 percent with hopes the shopping season may not be as rough as expected.
The Dow rallied 102 points to 8,829. The S&P 500 gained 8 points to 896. The Nasdaq rose 3 points to 1,535. Oil prices were little changed. Speakers: Terry Lundgren, CEO, Macy's; Howard Davidowitz, chairman, Davidowitz & Associates Conway Gittens reports from New York.SOUNDBITE (English)
