Reuters Showbiz producer Hanna Rantala sat down with the actor to discuss his indirect route to the Hollywood A-list.
With the third and reportedly last in the Pirates franchise - "Pirates of the Caribben: At World's End" - set to be released on May 25, Johnny Depp is set to say goodbye Captain Jack Sparrow.
The actor surprised everyone, including himself, when he was nominated for an Oscar playing the dim-witted if charming swashbuckler in the highly successful series.
