Aug 2 - A group of Israeli activists hurl eggs and tomatoes at northern Gaza in protest over the 'absurd' Palestinian-Israeli conflict
The Israeli group, who describe themselves as left-wing activists are hurling eggs, tomatoes, and vegetables at northern Gaza to protest against the conflict with the Palestinians.
Using two launchers, members of the group fire the vegetables and eggs into the air hoping that their actions will kick-start talks between the conflicting powers.
Yigal Tzur, the pioneer behind the idea, was a reserve artillery corps officer. He recruited two amateur scientists who put together the devices resembling a small canon and a rocket propelled grenade launcher to fire the edible arsenal.
Tzur said he wanted to retaliate against Palestinian self-made Qassam rocket attacks with Israeli home-made friendly artillery and perhaps make an "aerial salad".
