Aug. 8 - Controversial American baseball player Barry Bonds has broken a 33 year old sporting record sparking wild celebrations among his fans.
Bonds hit the 756th home run of his career, setting a Major League record. His hometown fans celebrated but there was a mixed response elsewhere in the wake of past steroid allegations.
