August 22 - Japanese business daily Nikkei reported on Wednesday that top automaker Toyota aims to sell 10.4 million vehicles worldwide in 2009.
The report said that Toyota expects increasing demand in North America as well as China and other emerging economies to fuel sales growth. Toyota surpassed Ford this year for second place in the American market and stands poised to overtake General Motors as the world's biggest automaker.
