MUFG eyes Asia retail bank ops
July 8. - Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group is considering starting a retail banking business in Asia in the next three years.
Deputy President Tatsuo Tanaka, speaking at the 2009 Japan Investment Summit in Tokyo, says the move is aimed at tapping the region's growth. Tanaka also said the banking group is looking to expand its U.S. commercial banking business.
