Tenet sees bad debt pressure
Nov. 10 - Tenet Healthcare says the U.S. hospital chain will continue to feel the strain of already-high bad debt levels as long as the nation's unemployment rate remains high.
CEO Trevor Fetter, speaking at the 2009 Reuters Health Summit in New York on Tuesday, says "as long as jobs are lost and patients have financial stresses causing them not to pay their bills, that will put upward pressure on that bad debt."
