Nov 12 - The head of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration says doses of the swine flu vaccine should be available on a more regular basis and added that it is not too late for people to benefit from immunization.
FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg, speaking at the 2009 Reuters Health Summit in New York on Thursday, says doses of the vaccine to prevent the H1N1 strain of influenza have been in short supply following production issues but "the gap between need and availability is narrowing."
