Milan Baros goes to Olympique Lyon
Jan. 23 - Czech Republic striker Milan Baros has joined Olympique Lyon from Aston Villa in a straight swap deal for Norway striker John Carew.
Baros, who joined Villa in August 2005 for 6.5 million pounds ($12.83 million), was still playing for Liverpool when he turned down an offer to join Lyon in 2005.
French Ligue 1 leaders Lyon are bidding to become the first side from a major continental league to win six titles in succession but they have been hampered by injuries to midfielder Alou Diarra and striker Karim Benzema among others.
