Rosneft: No M&A in sight

(04:13) Interview

Sep. 11 - Russia's largest oil producer Rosneft denies speculation that it may be looking to make more acquisitions.

The company's chief financial officer, Peter O'Brien, says Rosneft is "very focused on integrating and optimizing the asset base that we currently have." O'Brien, speaking at the Reuters Russia Investment Summit in Moscow on Tuesday, says Rosneft's focus in the medium-term is to "deliver growth and efficiencies" from recent acquisitions as well as put in place a new "debt reduction plan." Separately, O'Brien says Rosneft will deliver updated guidance to analysts and investors on key metrics before the end of the year.
