Sep. 20 - German airline Air Berlin looks to buy charter carrier Condor, a deal which could give Thomas Cook a stake in Air Berlin.
Germany's second-biggest airline after Lufthansa said the deal envisions a share swap with British tourism group Thomas Cook, which owns 75.1% of Condor, the carrier known for its flights to popular holiday destinations.
German flag carrier Lufthansa has the right of first refusal to buy the Condor stake, which Air Berlin cannot get before February 2009.
But if it goes ahead, this deal would be Air Berlin's third acquisition within a year.
