Parents drown saving children
Oct 23 - Three British and one German tourist drown off the coast of Portugal's Algarve whilst trying to rescue their children from the sea.
The three children, two of them siblings, were swept out to sea in strong currents. The children were saved.

"This is a very dangerous beach like all the Algarve coast. It's a zone completely open to the sea and the sands are always changing. This is a very powerful sea."
