E-bikes in vogue amid fuel hikes

Nov 11 - E-bikes take over Beijing as fuel prices increase and the government is trying to be environmentally friendly for the 2008 Olympics.

But there are still strict limitations on their speed and size. That's because traffic authorities are worried that they could become "silent killers" - because they are fast and people can't hear them coming.
