Bonds pleads not guilty in federal court

Dec 7 - Barry Bonds pleaded not guilty to charges that he lied to a federal grand jury in 2003.

Dressed in a dark suit for his first court appearance since his indictment, the 43-year-old slugger told a judge he was innocent of four counts of perjury and one of obstruction. The court set bail at $500,000.
