Lackluster home sales disappoints

Dec. 28 - New home sales fell 9 percent in November. According to a U.S. government report, it was the slowest pace in more than twelve years.

The soft housing data underscored a weakening U.S. dollar, as the dollar moved towards it's worst weekly performance in over a year.
