Strong Islamic mortgage growth
Feb. 4 - Mortgage firm Tamweel sees the Islamic market growing strongly in Dubai over the next few years.
Tamweel's Head of Investments, Feras Kalthoum, expects the firm will expand internationally, to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere. He also sees an opportunity to expand the investor base for bonds backed by Tamweel's Islamic mortgages as clients seek to avoid assets affected by the US subprime mortgage crisis.
