Albaraka eyes Indonesia market
Feb 5 - CEO of Albaraka Banking Group says Indonesia market 'is a market which we think is a target where we have to go and provide all of our products.'
Adnan Ahmed Yousif, speaking at the Reuters Islamic Banking and Finance Summit in Manama on Tuesday, says the bank is in talks to take a majority stake in an Indonesian financial institution.
Once that deal is completed, Yousif says the Albaraka will open more branches in the country.
Separately, Yousif says Albaraka is pushing ahead with plans to provide services in Syria and Pakistan.
