Violence over Kosovo
Feb. 17 - Rioters have attacked the U.S. embassy in Belgrade, angry over Kosovo's declaration of independence.
Serb protesters attacked the U.S. embassy in Belgrade on Sunday, angry over U.S. support for Kosovo's declaration of independence. Police in riot gear faced a barrage of flares and missiles. Earlier, Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica condemned Kosovo as a false state, and accused the U.S. of propping it up unlawfully.
