Feb 25 - The CEO of farm equipment maker Agco says the company is trying to target the 'lifestyle farmer' in countries such as India.
Martin Richenhagen, speaking at the Reuters 2008 Manufacturing Summit in Chicago on Monday, says the lifestyle farmer is one who owns about 20 acres of land and farms for themselves or their immediate community. Richenhagen says Agco already has the second-best selling tractor in India.
