May 5 - Bulgaria's Alevi Muslims celebrate the coming of spring with a festival known as "Hadrelez" or Sacred Day, by bathing in holy water.
Alevi Muslims in Bulgaria's Rhodope mountains gather at the sacred Dambala peak to bathe in a spring which they believe possesses healing powers.
They believe that the spring heals mute or stuttering children, but only for five minutes after midnight on the morning of 'Hadrelez'.
