Thailand's oxen predict rice boom

May 9 - Thailand's sacred oxen - used as soothsayers in a traditional ceremony - predict a good rice season during the annual ploughing festival.

But, despite an increased world export outlook for 2008, rice prices remain high, in part because of the devastation wrought by Cyclone Nargis on neighbouring Myanmar.
