Burying the CO2 issue
Jun. 6 - EU energy ministers discuss a controversial new idea to cut down on CO2 emissions by burying it underground.
Carbon Capture Storage could be the silver bullet EU member states need to substantially cut down on CO2 emissions whilst maintaining their existing and polluting industries.
But environmentalists say this will simply be a disincentive for heavy industry to switch to clean technology and it will create the new problem of storing of a new, dangerous compound.
