Bush: lift ban on offshore drilling
Jun. 18 - President Bush is calling on Congress to lift restrictions on offshore oil drilling as a way to relieve price pressures at the pump.
The White House move sets up a renewed battle with environmental groups that have long opposed offshore drilling amid worries about oil spills and fragile ecosystems.
