Jun. 27 - Zimbabwe presidential run-off election opens to slow start with Robert Mugabe the only candidate.
President Robert Mugabe defied wide-ranging international condemnation and calls to postpone the poll after opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai withdrew six days ago citing state-backed violence and intimidation of his supporters.
Early turnout was thin at many polling stations in the capital Harare, unlike the first round poll in March when people began lining up from early in the morning.
